Commissions/ Custom Work
If you are looking for a piece that is personalized, you can commission a painting. A commission is simply a custom piece with the subject of your choice.
Commissioning artwork gives you the chance to have a personalized work of art.
Paintings are on canvas board or cradled wood panel.
Framing is not included.
All measurements are in inches.
Here are some available sizes and prices. If you would like a custom size just include that in your request and I’ll contact you with a quote.
Canvas Board, unframed. (Framing is available at an additional charge.)
8×10 Oil on canvas board (unframed) $75 shipped within the contiguous United States.
12×12 Oil on canvas board (unframed) $135 shipped within the contiguous United States.
16×20 Oil on canvas board (unframed) $225 shipped within the contiguous United States.
Cradled Wood Panel:
Artists have been painting on wood panels for centuries. Many old world paintings have survived due to the longevity of the wooden panels they were painted on. Wood panels are simple to hang and display and framing is not necessary. Sides are painted.
Panels are manufactured in the U.S.A. using Baltic Birch & Basswood.
16×20 Oil on cradled wood panel $800 shipped within the contiguous United States.
20×30 Oil on cradled wood panel $1200 shipped within the contiguous United States.
30×40 Oil on cradled wood panel $1800 shipped within the contiguous United States.
Details:
Commission/ Custom means you get to decide the subject of the painting. Subjects can be people, places or things.
To get started: Send me 3-5 photos of your subject plus any details you’d like me to know. If you don’t have photos but have a subject in mind, you can send me a written description of your idea.
Once your subject is set a 30% non-refundable deposit is due to begin the painting. At that point I will give you an estimate for the time frame to complete the painting. Note that as this is an oil painting there will be 4 weeks of drying time included in the time frame to insure your painting is dry enough for shipping.
Once your painting is complete I will send you 2 photos. If it meets your approval and you love it, I will send you a PayPal invoice for the balance. (You don’t need to have a PayPal account to complete your transaction).
The painting will be shipped 4 weeks after it is complete and the balance is paid (again, the 4 weeks is to allow drying time).
